About this build
The reference shelf: what Dear Alli is, why it is built the way it is, and what is still open.
What it is, in plain terms
A coach opens LinkedIn, reads a message, and Dear Alli drafts the reply in their voice. It sits inside the LinkedIn window, so nobody copies a conversation into another tab to get help with it. It also keeps track of who has gone quiet and is owed a follow-up, which is the part coaches lose most often.
Why the voice work is the product
Anything can draft a message. What it cannot do is know which move you would lead with, for this person, this week. That judgement only exists in your head and your writing, so the drafting is built from both. Every time a coach marks a draft wrong, the correction becomes a rule the system keeps. Eleven weeks of those corrections are what make it sound like you instead of like a chatbot.
What is still open
The commercial side. Dear Alli sells today, takes payment, and onboards a coach without anyone touching it. What has not been settled is who owns what and how the money splits. That conversation has its own documents and it is the one thing waiting on both of us.
